Crawling..teething...standing up..

My liitle Chloe is just growing so quickly! She cut her first bottom tooth last week and the second is coming in. Her crawling technique which I like to call the "inch worm" improves daily and her latest milestone is standing up! Who knows by the time we get back from SA she will be 9 months and maybe walking! Mom you best start putting away all your breakables!!

So here are my 8 random facts or habits:

1. I love to work in the yard, yet I am absolutely terrible at taking care of plants etc. and tend to kill most!(One birthday I got a cactus and a fake plant!)

2. My dream job or what I always wanted to be is a News Anchor.

3. I can drink chocolate milk all day and not eat or drink anything else.

4. I have finally come to terms that I will never have straight hair so I have learned to enjoy(deal) with my curls.

5. I have the same bad habit that Mandy has when it comes to watching movies at home. I usually fall asleep, but I have never fallen asleep at a cinema.

6. Another bad habit which I know drives Peter crazy is channel flipping. I tend to flip between two shows so that I don't have to watch ads!

7. I hate taking baths, and if I do for relaxation purposes, I always take a shower afterwards.

8. OK..Almost there...this was harder than I thought...here goes...I finally thought of something...Whenever I eat at Wendy's I order the exact same thing...Blackforest Frescata(ham and Swiss cheese), no tomato, and a chocolate frosty!

Now that I have revealed just how wierd I am, consider yourself tagged!

8 MORE DAYS TILL TAKE OFF!

Yesterday I purchased some new suitcases for out trip to South Africa. Yes I am getting way excited....and Ethan was thrilled to hear that not only does he get to sleep on the plane, but he also gets to eat dinner, breakfast and lunch! If only he knew!!! At the moment I am gathering together all those nicknack's that you hate to forget. If anyone out there has any great tips flying with children, especially babies feel free to share the info. I want this flight to be as painless as possible. I can't believe that a $500 ticket for Chloe still doesn't even buy her a seat! She will get to sleep in a sky crib so I will have my hands free somewhere along the way!

Fun and Gross!

At the begining of the week we ran out of apple juice and I didn't have the desire to visit the grocery store, so Ethan enjoyed drinking "Daddy's work juice" which just happened to be blue and purple gatorade! Not only was he tickled that his tongue was blue, but he was even more amused that after drinking gatorade for 3 days straight, his poopie turned blue too! No I won't post a picture of that, but Peter and I are witnesses!

Kicking back @ home!

Life gets really crazy and hectic and so sometimes we enjoy just spending the day at home, often 'till lunch time in our pyjamas. Ethan and Chloe have so much fun just playing and I get to forget about all the many things that need to get done for an hour or two.

A good day turned bad.....turned good again!

I wanted to bring closure to our Dallas ordeal and thank the lady who found and returned my wallet. Everything was there so I don't have to stand for hours in the INS line to apply for a new Green card!! (That doesn't include the 3 hour drive to San Antonio!) Even though the car strut broke and I lost my wallet we did get to see and do some fun things so here are some pics from that day!

The far right window second from the top is open and is the window from which Lee Harvey Oswald shot JFK.

A great day turned bad!

Last week Thursday I had my final check up on my ear up in Dallas. The appointment went great...in fact we were 40 minutes early so I ended up having my hearing test first which came out great. My hearing has completely improved! The doctor then got a look at it and apparently it has healed completely and is water tight so I can take advantage of our pool which is officially blue!! This also means I can fly to South Africa in August....YAY!

So after we received the good news we drove over to the bookstore to buy a couple of things and then we headed over to Pei Wei for lunch which was really yummy! Peter took a little longer to eat so Ethan and I left Peter and Chloe at the restaurant and headed over to Jo-Ann fabric to buy some fleece to make a blankie for Chloe. Peter came and found us and then we headed off to the Sixth Floor Museum which is in the same building where Oswald shot JFK. Of course there are many other theories but it was really neat to learn a bit about history. I am not a museum lover...but I guess I enjoyed this museum a little more because I was able to identify with it because of Peters job.

Anyways when we were leaving the museum we realized my wallet was missing so we started back tracking and had no luck finding it! It was pretty late now and while we were driving around the strut on Peters car broke so we tried to find a mechanic and of course everywhere was closed. We thought about spending the night in a hotel and then getting the car fixed in the morning, but Peter had work in the morning as well as doctor appointments for work so we decided to chance it and drive home!

We got home really late(first time in our lives we have driven 60mph all the way home!)and really miserable! Luckily there was a message on our answering machine from a lady who had found my wallet. I will feel relieved when it is back in my hands!
