Peter, Ethan and my parents went to Dallas to see the ranch where they shot the movie Dallas. This was just up my mom's alley as she was a huge Dallas fan!

CHRISTMAS DAY!

BEDTIME!

Ethans bedtime ritual is a little longwinded and sometimes just tiring, but everyone gets to participate! Grandma sure gets into the festivities and gets him all wound up, but luckily story time tends to calm him down!

Papa has also arrived!

Yesterday Claudia's dad, Jan, landed in Houston and was greeted by a very excited grandson! He was glad to finally be on solid ground after being in the air for over 32 hours. Ethan is Papas little shadow and just loves having his grandparents from South Africa here to visit him and his sister! We will post some pics as soon as we can get the camera fired up again!

Ethan tells Santa what he wants this year!

Today Ethan and Chloe went to see Father Christmas at the mall to tell him what they wanted this year. I was worried Ethan would be afraid of Santa like he was last year, but he surprised me as he hopped into his lap and starting telling Santa all about the bicycle that he wanted. Chloe did really well all wrapped up, and when it was time to go I thought we might have to pry her out of Santa's arms!

Our Beautiful Baby Girl has arrived!

After being two days overdue,Chloe decided to make her grand entrance at 8:48pm on Friday the 15th. She weighed 7lb 1oz and is 20 1/4 long. She is doing well and was welcomed by her big brother Ethan without any problems! He loves giving her kisses and loves to read to her and of course help mom and dad take care of her.
We will post some more pictures as soon as I can sit in a chair more comfortably!!

Grandma Has Arrived!

Just wanted to let you know that Claudia's mom, Sandra, has arrived safe and sound from South Africa! Her flights went well and she was happy to finally be here. We are still waiting for Chloe to arrive. Tomorrow is her due date, so cross your fingers and hope something happens soon! We have had one false alarm run to the hospital, but unfortuneately we were sent home!

Other than waiting for Chloe to arrive and plenty of shopping, Ethan is loving having his grandma here and the two of them keep each other laughing all day! We will keep you posted on any news on Chloes arrival!

Fossil Rim

Today we spent the day at Fossil Rim and had a great time. It was really neat to have the animals come right upto the car and as you can see from the pictures we got to pet the Zebra, Giraffes and lots of other animals. The ostriches were a little too friendly for my liking and we almost lost our windshield wiper to a zebra! Explain that to our insurance!! Anyways for those of you that live nearby, we strongly recommend a day at Fossil Rim, we know Ethan really enjoyed it just as much as we did!

Aunt Mo's visit

Monique, Peters sister was here for a couple of days and she brought her new 5 month old puppy, Carson, with her. Tank, Thula and Carson had a great time playing and wrestling and Carson and Ethan also had fun wrestling together!

Black Friday!

Believe it or not, I did not go to a single store today! Instead I resorted to online shopping! We spent the morning at the Homestead Heritage Fair and had a great time. Ethan got to pet the sheep and goats etc and he also went on a great horse-pulled hay ride with Peter!

Halloween 06

Heres the youngest member of our green monster family!! Ethan had a great time "trick or treating" with daddy around the neighborhood. Infact he enjoyed it so much he wanted to go the following evening and the one after that. Peter finally convinced him that it's an annual thing!

Our green Iguana Scottie recently got a new home so she no longer has to live in our bathroom. Peter helped build this custom cage which we put in our family room so she gets to be a part of our daily comings and going!

We have been meaning to start a blog for our family for a while...so we finally decided to knuckle down and get it started.
